How do tuition payments and audition deposits work?
To sign up and audition, all that is required is the $150 audition deposit. Once the show is cast, if you want to continue, the rest of the tuition is due. So for a show with a $625 tuition, $150 is due before auditions and the remaining $475 is due after casting.
-
I can't afford the full tuition, can I still be part of the show?
Yes! Our goal is to never turn away a student for lack of funds. Please reach out to us about payment plans, tuition assistance and full scholarships and we will accommodate as much as we possibly can.

How do auditions work?
We typically have 3 days of auditions: A day of acting, dance, improv exercises, and show information, then a day of individual vocal auditions where each auditioner is seen individually (they need only be there for about 15 minutes for their individual audition) and finally a day of callbacks where only certain people will be required to attend.
-
Will everyone who signs up be cast?
It is our goal to cast as many actors who sign up as possible, but we also are committed to keeping the cast sizes on our shows small enough for everyone to have a good experience. That means no more than 30 people in a cast for most musicals and less for non-musicals. If there are more actors than roles available, some may not get cast.
If an auditioner is not cast, they have the option to be part of the backstage crew for the show and learn about theater from that angle, or if that is not of interest, they get their audition deposit fully refunded. Currently, we have been able to cast every actor who auditions in every show we have done so far and expect to be able to do so for our upcoming shows as well.
-
Can I still audition if I'm going to be away during the audition dates?
Yes! We can accept video auditions and are often able to set up make up audition dates as needed. It is our goal to accommodate our actors' needs and schedules as much as possible.
-
I have conflicts with rehearsals- Can I still do the show?
Yes! We are usually able to work around rehearsal conflicts as long as we know them in advance. Major conflicts may affect casting decisions, but we can almost always find a way to incorporate an actor into the show regardless of conflicts.
-
Are volunteer hours required?
We know that for many families it's not possible to devote tons of hours to volunteer on a youth theater production. So unlike most youth theater companies, we build in the majority of the work that parents typically do as volunteers into our workshops where the cast and crew work together to build sets, make props, put together costumes and more.
We do ask that families that are able join us for load in and strike, to get the show in and out of the theater before and after the show and we invite parents with skills and expertise to share to be part of the process of making the show.
